History

Ducatt is a spin-off of Emgo, earlier market leader in manufacturing high quality drawn and blown glass.

Ducatt has been established in 2011, by taking over the Emgo light bulb division with its 100 employees.
Ducatt's field of expertise lies with the experience of Emgo and it is incorporated in a highly motivated team of skilled employees. This goes from full-fledged glass oven operators to highly specialized glass engineers.

The production facility has completely been rebuilt with a brand new solar glass furnace and state-of-art production lines, optimized end-to-end to avoid contamination with iron. Ducatt sources its silica from one of the best low-iron sand quarries in Europe, located nearby.

For cutting, edge grinding an thermal toughening, Ducatt operates state-of art integrated lines from their strategic partner LISEC.

On December 12, 2012, the first glass rolled out of the melting furnace. Only two months later the first customer order was shipped.
